e-zinc

Powering the energy transition

e-Zinc is an Ontario-based clean-technology company that designs and manufactures breakthrough long-duration energy storage (LDES) systems using a zinc-based, water-electrolyte battery chemistry.

The technology decouples power from energy, delivering low cost, safe, modular and flexible systems that deliver 10-100+ hours of energy, well beyond the reach of conventional lithium-ion batteries. e-Zinc serves three core markets: grid resilience and backup power, remote and off-grid operations (including mining, telecom, and defence), and multi-day renewables integration. The company operates manufacturing facility in Canada, has offices in the USA, and is advancing pilot deployments with the California Energy Commission and Toyota Tsusho Canada.

Objectives at IMARC 2026:

e-Zinc aims to explore business opportunities in Western Australia’s remote and off-grid mining sector, build on relationships established through the GreenTech Hub WA network where e-Zinc was awarded as a champion of the long game energy challenge.

e-Zinc is looking to identify potential investment, joint-venture, or agent/distributor partners to support Australian market entry.
